‘For such a time as this’

As I have begun my day, I keep hearing within my spirit these words, ‘For such a time as this’!

I don’t know if it’s only for myself or if I need to share for others to hear and be reminded of this truth!

Each of us was born with a unique purpose as well as unique giftings to accomplish that purpose.

I truly believe that my purpose for being born, for sucking up air and taking up space, is, in fact, to be a ‘voice for the voiceless’ by sharing the good news of God’s intervention and protection over my life! I have been told by my dear friend my adult life, as well as a few professionals, “You should be dead or in an insane asylum!”

All I can say to that is, ‘But God!’

He saw fit to protect me, to keep me, to spare me as I walked through horrific child abuse as well as domestic violence!

I’ve written a book, House Full of Secrets: Human Trafficking and Redemption, sharing many of the atrocities I experienced as a child that no one should ever have to live through!

All of my books are available on Amazon and Kindle!

I did not share all I experienced, for I refuse to give the devil any credit.

For such a time as this’. Esther 4:4

I look at these words.

There are days I wanta put it all aside, forget it, put it in a box, and set it on a shelf…but I can’t seem to do that! ‘It’ being the purpose of my life.

I know what it’s like to feel that hopelessness!
I know what it’s like to feel so all alone!
I know what it’s like to not escape into the depths of my mind before the first pawing or probing begins!

I know!

And I know that I must use my voice to help another…even if it’s just one person…I must be willing to do so!

For such a time as this!’

Proverbs 31:8-9, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy” (NIV).

This I do, for such a time as this!

What is your ‘for such a time as this’?
