Alpha Gal Syndrome and Pain

I don’t like winter, I’ve discovered!

Well, actually, I don’t like the cold temps!

Since being bitten by a stupid tick last spring and contracting Rocky Mountain Spotted fever and Alpha Gal Syndrome, I freeze so easily anymore. Where I live in Kentucky in the US, we’ve been experiencing some cold weather. Burrr…..

The cold now seeps into my bones, joints, and back and makes my body scream loudly in protest! I’ve not had this issue before!

I’ve also noticed a connection with the cold, the intense pain and my mental health taking a hard hit!

Last week was the hardest I’ve experienced in ages! It was very hard to get quality sleep as I was often up taking something for the pain. The constant cramping in my muscles, the deep burning ache in my joints, and the desire to escape the pain was overwhelming!

I wouldn’t wish this on anyone….ever!!!!!

If you’ve been diagnosed with either of these, I’d love to hear how you cope with all the body changes. For me, it’s been the dive into chronic pain in my joints and depression. Those are the two main ones.
